The short version: Enjoy the game. Don't resell it, rip it apart to redistribute, or claim it as your own. It's provided as-is, and purchases go through Steam under Valve's rules.
These Terms govern your use of this website and the game Cindervale Idle ("the Game"), made by Smolder Studios ("we", "us"). By visiting the site or playing the Game, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
License to play
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to play Cindervale Idle for your own enjoyment. A free demo is available in your browser; the full game is sold through Steam. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Our content
The Game and everything in it — code, artwork, icons, music, names, and design — is owned by Smolder Studios and protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or create commercial derivatives of the Game or its assets without our written permission.
Acceptable use
- Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the Game in order to redistribute it or sell modified copies.
- Don't sell saves, accounts, cheats, or in-game content for real money as if it were your own product.
- Don't use the site or Game to break the law or to harm, abuse, or disrupt others or our services.
Personal, non-commercial tinkering and content creation (streams, videos, screenshots) are welcome and encouraged.
Purchases & refunds
The full version of Cindervale Idle is sold and delivered through Steam. All payments, taxes, and refunds are handled by Valve under the Steam Subscriber Agreement and Steam Refund Policy. We do not process or store any payment information.
Third-party services
The Game and community rely on services such as Steam, Discord, Cloudflare, and GitHub, each governed by its own terms. Your use of those services is between you and them.
No warranty
Cindervale Idle is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. The Game is under active development and features may change, break, or be removed. Your saves are your responsibility — keep a backup if they matter to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Smolder Studios will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or progress, arising from your use of the site or the Game.
Changes
We may update these Terms as the Game evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
Governing law & contact
